The longest adventure sail race in Northern Europe has come one step closer as the date for the event has been published: JUNE 20 - 27 2021. The start and finish line will be just outside the International Sailing Center in Aarhus - city of sails in Denmark.
The course is 650 nautical miles long. Singlehanded sailors will go in the first starts on Sunday June 20. Doublehanded and fully crewed will start 1 to 2 days later depending on the weather. All participants are expected back in Aarhus on Saturday 26th. where the price giving and an afterparty to remember will take place on Saturday night.
The race will be sailed by the Open Scandinavian Adventure Sailracing Order (OSASO). The Order is designed to promote the joy of sailing and to include as many different boats and sailors as possible. That means there will be no demand for a measurement certificate. The boats are divided into categories due to there LOA (18-25 ft, 25-30 ft, 30-35 ft, 35-40-45ft and >45ft).
