What yesterday evening looked like a fast sprint with a finish in Aarhus at 8 AM has changed into a long haul of a marathon and right now it looks like Childhood1 will be back at noon 12 PM at the earliest.
Bouwe Bekking and crew are doing 15 - 16 knots.
Since midnight the boat has only done some 55 NM - meaning an average speed close to 10 knots. It could mean that the wind has been more westerly than it has appeared on the windprediction programs and hence the boat has just managed to lay the mark between Langeland and Lolland.
We will get in touch with Emil Midé Erichsen on board the boat to hear what has held them back.
